Under specific conditions, electrical box membrane penetrations may not require fire-stopping assemblies. Compliance with the relevant building code and regulations is crucial.

Electrical box membrane penetrations of a certain size, as well as limited aggregate opening area, are excluded. Electrical boxes with a specific annular space and proper separation are also excluded.
